- Master's degree in Library science/ information science/ Documentation science with at least 55% Marks.
- Should have qualified in NET/SLET/SET for Librarianship.
- Must have knowledge of the computerized reading of the library.
- Spoken and wrote in Bengali and English for all colleges except Hindi medium college.
✅ Age Limit ( As of 01/01/2023)
- General Candidates: Not more than 40 years
- OBC Candidates : Not more than 43 years
- SC/ST Candidates : Not more than 45 years.

As Per ROPA 2019 Pay commission circular for College / University -

- Basic Pay : 57,700/-
- HRA : 6,924/- ( 12% of Basic Pay)
- DA : 1,731/- ( 3% DA announced from January, 2021)
- Medical Allowance : 500/-
- Conveyance Allowance : 800/-
- New Monthly Gross Salary ( Basic Pay + HRA+DA+Medical + Conveyance) : 69,386/- ( Without Increment and Other Special Allowance)
